-Nashik has a great historic, religious and cultural heritage. It is known as the Kumbh city and Grape city. It has the unique importance in Industrial network and an Educational Hub.
On the art and cultural front eminent literary figures like Late Shri Tatyasaheb Shirwadkar, Vasant Kanetkar have contributed not only to the regional literary world but to national & international literary heritage.
Nashik, as a district has grown by leaps & bounds in infrastructure & other facets of life. Progress in trade & commerce is evident from the progress it is undergoing.
There is no dearth of talent in Art & Sports asNashikites have got a flair for art, sports, & literature. To give the people of Nashik a platform & opportunity to express their hidden talent, Chagan Bhujbal Public Welfare Foundation ( Bhujbal Foundation ) is organizing a multi dimensional event called ?Nashik Mahotsav? at district level. The scope of Nashik Mahotsav is to evolve & get mature as the experience goes & become more thought provoking & message oriented in years to come.
On the whole the foundation has created a new plethora of events where people of Nashik district participate, perform & enjoy this big event.
OBJECTIVE-
To showcase the spirit of the people of Nashik and create a healthy competitive environment and give a chance to the people of Nashik to celebrate.
To create an event spectacle never seen before in Nashik with the help of Best technology and creativity.
The objective of this event is to make people ease out from the daily busy & hectic life & enjoy creative feast in the form of ?Nashik Mahotsav?. In addition to this due importance is given to health, as the lifestyle has become mechanical and stressful, health has become a priority. And hence it is rightly said ?Healthy mind rests in a healthy body?.
CONCEPT
-Celebrating this cultural diversity of the city is NASHIK MAHOTSAV? A tribute to the spirit of the city. A month-long festival, NASHIK MAHOTSAV celebrates Music, Sports, Arts and Craft of the region. A plethora of activities, competitions, showcases and performances are lined up?all of which bring alive the city of Nashik and celebrate its awe-inspiring growth as a region.
The flow of the Mahotsav commences with competitions in cricket, kabbadi, wrestling and swimming. In the art section rangoli & painting competitions are also being held. Special attention is given to the spiritual enhancement, for this purpose Bhajan Competition is also organized.
The speciality of this Mahotsav is that people from all walks of life young and old can participate. On the health front the foundation is taking care in providing eye checkups & distribution of spectacles to the needy.
Women saving groups and women belonging to organizations which produce handicrafts and other indigenous materials will be given an opportunity to exhibit and sell their products.
The cultural program includes Singing, Instrumental, Bhajan & Qawali.The Grand Mega Event will be held at Golf Club, and it promises to be a Spectacular confluence of Technology and Creativity and a feast of Extravaganza for all. The stage will glitter with awe struck Bollywood stars that will perform Live for the Exuberant and Vibrant Nashikites
